Done Right, Or It Is a Fire Risk
Barrel sauna, infrared cabin, or a hot tub, they all need a dedicated 240V circuit run from your panel. This is not a job for an unlicensed handyman and an extension cord. Done wrong, it is a fire risk or a tripped breaker every time someone cranks the heat.
We run the circuit, install the disconnect, and do it to code. That means permits where required, proper wire gauge, and work that holds up to a home inspection when you sell.
What Is Included
- Dedicated 240V circuit sized to the appliance
- GFCI protection installed
- Exterior-rated disconnect at the unit
- Trenching and conduit for detached locations
- Permit pulled and inspection handled
- Written, itemized quote before work starts
Why This Is Not a DIY Job
A 240V dedicated circuit for a sauna or hot tub requires a licensed electrician in California. Beyond licensing, the practical risks are real: undersized wire causes heat buildup inside the wall, missing GFCI protection means any moisture or fault can result in electrocution, and an improperly sized breaker trips constantly or, worse, does not trip when it should.
When you sell your home, an unpermitted electrical installation shows up in inspection. It becomes a negotiating tool against you. We do it right the first time so it is not a problem later.
What to Have Ready for the Estimate
- The make and model of the sauna or hot tub
- The nameplate amperage and voltage
- Where the unit will sit, indoors or out
- Rough distance from the unit to your panel
